Cathy & Ricky [Delaware Maternity Photographer]

I had my first maternity session yesterday and I was lucky to have such a great couple to work with.  I have known Cathy for years, we rode the bus together way back when I was in middle school and she was in high school. We later found out that we are distant cousins (my grandmother and her father are cousins).  Then a few years ago, I met Ricky though some mutual friends of ours.

Cathy and Ricky are a real life Brady Bunch.  Ricky has four kids (two boys, two girls) and Cathy has two boys. Together they are having another boy, Chase due early next year.  I was excited that I was able to capture such a special moment in both of their lives!

Congrats, Cathy and Ricky!  I hope you love your sneak peek.  It was great seeing the two of you again and I look forward to meeting Chase!  He's going to be a lucky boy to have such wonderful parents and a loving group of siblings!

If you or someone you know is expecting, I am offering discounts on maternity and newborn sessions!  Contact me today and be sure to become a fan of Malinda Joyce Photography on Facebook! In a few weeks, I'll be doing giveaways to my Facebook fans in honor of the new year and the official start of my business!

The T Family [Delaware Family & Children Photographer]

One of the things I love the most about on-location photography is that you can photograph people in the element they are most comfortable in.  Which is why I was happy when Davette contacted me and suggested we do a session on their family farm.

The farm's red barn made for the perfect backdrop to some great pictures.  I loved meeting Davette, her husband and their three daughters. I loved this session and I look forward to working with the T family in the future!   Thank you, Davette, enjoy your sneak peek!

The M Family [Eastern Shore of Maryland Family Photographer]

My cousin, Michael contacted me a few months ago about doing family photos for his dad's side of the family.  It had been years since his grandmother had gotten a group picture of all of her grandchildren, their spouses and great grandchildren together.  We finally were able to get all of the grandchildren, their spouses and kids together on Sunday at Martinak State Park in Denton.  Along with the big group photo, I had a great time taking candids and individual family pictures of the family as well.

Here's just a few of my favorites from that day, some of my past clients may recognize, my cousin's daughter and sometimes photography assistant, Kacie in this first photo.

Baby B & Family [Delaware Baby & Family Photographer]

My second session this past Saturday was also in historic Dover.  This time it was with former clients of mine, the L Family from Wilmington.  This is my second session with them, our first session was in late August and it was their daughter, B's three month session (you can see an adorable picture of her from that session in my banner above).  They suggested downtown Dover for their session and I am glad they did, because The Green during fall time made the perfect backdrop.

Baby B has grown so much in the last three months! Thank you to the L Family for allowing me to watch your little girl grow and being able to capture it.

The G Family [Dover, Delaware Family Photographer]

I love fall time and this past weekend we had the perfect fall weather, it wasn't too hot and wasn't too cool.  It was the perfect weather to be outside in just a sweater.  I had four photo sessions this past weekend, making for a busy weekend, but I had a great time at every one of them and loved meeting some new clients and seeing former clients.

My first session of the weekend was the G Family, mom, dad and three kids, a girl and two boys.  We had a blast walking through historic Dover and getting pictures.  The kids were adorable and each of them had their own personality. They all three had the most gorgeous eyes, which will you see in my sneak peek.  I didn't enhance any of their eyes with Photo Shop, that's the real deal.

The K Family [Delaware Family Photograher]

You may remember the K Family from a photo session in October.  I love this family, absolutely love them.  When I married my husband I knew I would be gaining another family (his parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.), but what I didn't know is that I would also be gaining a close knit group of family  friends. The K Family has been good friends with my husband's stepfather for over 30 years.  In the last few years they have really been there for my mother in law and step father in law when they needed them the most.  Friends like that don't come around every day.

The K Family wanted to get a family picture of the whole family together on their family farm.  I loved this idea, especially since I think everyone is most comfortable at home. I loved that we used an antique tractor in a few of the photos!

I hope you guys love these photos, I had a great time taking them and I think the farm was the perfect backdrop to beautiful photos! I put more then I normally do for this sneak peek, it was hard to pick my favorites!
